PictureCorrect.com: Interesting Photo of the Day: Low Angle of the Oneonta Gorge Waterfall

At first glance, this image looks like something magical from Narnia. Captured at a low angle and with a balanced composition, landscape photographer Ross Schram von Haupt shows the impact different seasons have on the beautiful Oneonta Gorge in Oregon. Surprisingly, the photo was taken in a handheld position and a tripod was not required for this long exposure:

The greenery during summer is quite evident and the water naturally runs lower in comparison to the winter season. The tone and temperature of the gorge was lit naturally by the reflections of the bright sun rays bouncing off the gorge walls. The composition consists of two shots taken to capture depth of focus. As Schram von Haupt explains, he felt at ease and close to nature with the birds chirping all over the gorge, and he clearly shows that peace in the photo.
