Claimed to be the worst wildfire in California’s history, the recent fire there has claimed more than 40 lives, with hundreds still missing. The incident has nearly 9,000 firefighters battling the fire, some of whom have lost their own homes to the blaze. As a sign of respect to all the firefighters battling the tragedy, digital artist Kella Hendry created this powerful image depicting firefighters as real heroes:

“Hard times don’t create heroes, it is during the hard times the ‘hero’ within us is revealed.”
This powerful image has become a sensation. And many people are interested to know how the photo was taken. In fact, the image is actually a composite.
Even though the image is manipulated, Hendry has surely conveyed a strong message.
