City-branding pioneer JT Singh and timelapse flow motion videographer Rob Whitworth have teamed up to put together an amazing tourism video about Pyongyang. The little known North Korean city comes to life in the video as the creators show another side to what many people think of the region. Enter Pyongyang captures the humanity, vibrancy and potential of the developing city:
As the creators say, most visitors will be surprised by the scenes they encounter as they enter Pyongyang—how clean and orderly it all is. And they’ll be surprised to know that North Korea is not as off-limits as people think it may be. Politics aside, Pyongyang is a bustling city with a thriving center, beautiful natural spaces, and hardworking people, as told by Whitworth and Singh.
Whitworth blends timelapse photography, acceleration, slow motion, HD, and digital animation to create the flow motion video. He used the following equipment to create Enter Pyongyang: Nikon D800, Nikon D7000, Nikon D3200, Nikon 16-35mm f/4G AF-S VR Zoom, Nikon 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5G ED AF-S DX, Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8G ED AF-S VR II, Nikon 50mm f/1.4 G AF-S.
The result is a unique portrayal of the city that is fun and inspiring to watch.
