In the wake of recent events around the world, it might be hard for you to get connected to that sense of hope and peace that’s supposed to accompany the Christmas holiday season.

We have a remedy for that. This gorgeous photograph of Bremen, Germany’s wintry Christmas Market is bound to help you experience some warm holiday feels:

On the technical side of things, multiple Redditors agreed that this photograph is a beautiful example of “tilt shift done right,” but many felt just as strongly otherwise, saying that the use of tilt shift unnecessarily sacrifices detail in the scene and that there was no need to hone the focus in on the market because the lights already pull viewers’ attention there.

Another user explained that the image wasn’t actually created using a tilt shift lens but by faking depth of field in post.
