Combining multiple images into one is sometimes necessary when a landscape such as this one is too big for the lens. Learning how to do that is a different story! This waterfall scene in Western Norway is an incredible composition of vibrant autumn colors and stormy weather that sets a perfect mood for landscape photography:

Photographer Stian N. took this photograph of the Vøringsfossen Waterfall in Eidfjord, Hordaland, Norway, and he had this to say about it:
“Peak autumn colors in this damp and dramatic waterfall environment in western Norway. The autumn air was cool and the waterfalls kept roaring at full power. Here the Hardangervidda high mountain plateau steeply drops off into the fjord regions of western Norway. For scale, the waterfall to the left is some 535 feet tall. I’m guessing it’s a ~700 feet drop from the ledge I’m standing on. Didn’t fall in though, just barely.”
He used a Canon 5D camera to put together 14 different shots to make this incredible image. The depth of field alone is astounding. This image is a mix and match of perspectives, focal lengths, and focus points to blend multiple shots into one. He enhanced it with his attention on the colors and contrast.
