This amazing photograph is actually a cropped version of the Lacets de Montvernier Aerial View photo captured by photographer Sandro Bisaro. The photo was taken with a Canon 5D Mark III camera. Bisaro created the road’s light trails using a long exposure:
The Lacets de Montvernier (aka the shoelaces of Montvernier) is a 3.4 kilometer road commonly used in the Tour de France. This Alpine climb offers 18 hairpin curves, with a 180 degree switchback about every 150 meters. The road was built over a period of six years (1928-1934), with the intention of reaching the small village at the top of Montvernier.
