Summer in San Francisco is fog season, since the area is colder, damper, and more overcast than usual. This view looks down upon the fog in a warmer, more sunny spot from atop Mount Tamalpais near the Golden Gate Bridge. The long exposure portrays the fog as long, rolling hills of gray that blanket the sleepy town below:
Photographer Lorenzo Montezemelo captured this image in Marin County, California. He used a Nikon D810 with a 24.0–70.0mm lens. The image was shot at f/8.0, 28.0mm, 186 seconds, and ISO 31. In order to get above the fog, Lorenzo hiked up Mount Tamalpais and set his camera for a long exposure of the scene below. What an amazing shot!
