Don’t get too worked up about today’s interesting photo. Believe it or not, this is not a photograph of some unexplained supernatural phenomena:

Rather, this stream of cascading light was created with a boomerang with LED lights attached to its outer edges. As the boomerang spun through the air, the brightness of the LEDs shined starkly against the dark night sky. Using a long shutter speed to absorb ambient light as well as capture the path taken by the boomerang, the photographer captured fascinating swerves and arcs made by this simplistic ancient tool.
This photo fully showcases just how spellbinding and imaginative light painting can be.
