PictureCorrect.com: Watch as a DSLR Camera is Sliced in Half with a Waterjet

In some weirdly satisfying way, this act of slicing a DSLR camera into two has always been on my personal bucket list of things to do. Not that you should attempt or even conceive such an act with a perfectly good DSLR, but if you have a non-functioning camera, why not put it under a waterjet and try it out:

Whatever the reason, the folks at Waterjet Channel sliced open a Canon DSLR camera using a 60,000 PSI waterjet. Though on fast forward it looks like a hot knife going through butter, in reality it took three minutes to actually cut open the camera.

You’ll notice in the slow-mo replay of the video that the camera was actually still working when the waterjet sliced through it. The AF assist lamp on the camera turned on briefly during the process.

Planning on doing something similar? Maybe you could justify it by saying you wanted to have a better idea of the inner workings of a DSLR?
