Long exposure photography rarely fails to amaze us. Photographer Cameron Schron reminds us how long exposure can add beauty to an already amazing landscape with his image of Yosemite Valley:
Schorn shot the image from Glacier Point at an altitude of 3,200 feet, which provides an intriguing perspective of the famous Yosemite Valley. The composition is an interesting mix of natural calmness and manmade clamor.
The beautiful night sky with brilliantly shining stars sets a perfect backdrop for the calm mountain range and the gorging Yosemite Falls. The valley floor, however, is in stark contrast with the natural serenity. The lighting from the hotels, lodges, and campfires, which is exaggerated by the long exposure, give a sense of hustle among the wilderness.
