It took Daniel and Gina, who run the travel blog Sunrise Odyssey, a full year to traverse overland from China to Greece. But it’ll take you less than three minutes to watch their hyperlapse video, documenting the brilliant colors and gorgeous architecture along the way:
The last 20 or so seconds of the video is dedicated to a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the couple’s filming of this video, but it’s so quick that it’s hard to see exactly what’s happening. They’re using a tripod and string—no third camera operator—to film the entire thing, as they seemingly float over the land.
The couple travels across China, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Iran, Armenia, Georgia, Turkey, Greece, purportedly only using trains, cars and buses.
If this doesn’t inspire the wanderlust in you, nothing will.
