Gavin Free and Daniel Gruchy, The Slow Mo Guys, have come up with yet another wacky idea to try out in slow motion. This one involves lighting up wire wool and then spinning it like a daisy wheel in full steam while recording it in 4K slow-mo:
We’re used to seeing long-exposure steel wool shots as stills:

But it’s fun to get a take on what it looks like at the slowest of speeds.
In case you want to try this at home, make sure to take plenty of precautions. Safety glasses are a must. As is fire retardant clothing—and that goes for everyone involved in the shoot. If you’re trying this on a lawn, douse it with water to prevent a disaster and have more water handy, just in case. Last, but not the least, safeguard your camera.
