If you’re looking for a simple way to add more light and warmth to your photos, check out this easy “light bleeding” method from travel photographer Jimmy McIntyre. It’s quick, easy, and can be done wherever there’s directional light:
The technique is so simple you may have already used it before:
- Add a layer
- Match color
- Change the opacity of your paint brush—stronger at the light source, less strong the farther you get away
- Blend with soft light
- Create a mask if you need to touch up
As demonstrated in the video above, there’s not really anything more to it.
