Parents of young kids know that they don’t always (make that often don’t) do what we tell them to. But one dad in South Dakota turned his toddler daughter’s stubbornness into a once-in-a-lifetime photo opportunity that captures the joy of childhood:

Wes Eisenhauer explains the situation leading up to the photo with the following caption:
“A few minutes ago, I ran outside to take a picture. My daughter chased after me. I told her to go back inside because she was in her pajamas and didn’t have any shoes on. She didn’t listen. I’m glad she didn’t listen.”
So are we.
