Rod Evans loves long exposure photography. Though his repertoire extends beyond just dragging the shutter, one look at his portfolio and you’re bound to get what he loves to shoot. He also loves creating composite images. This seemingly impossible shot is actually a composite of several images:
Evans’s technique for creating these mushrooms was developed by accident. He was playing around with his LED lights one night and discovered that he could create mushrooms with them.
He shot the sky photos with a Canon 650D (Rebel T4i) at 10mm, f/4.5, ISO 3200, and a shutter speed of 30 seconds. For the mushroom frames, he used a camera setting of ISO 100 and a 15 second exposure.
