August 21, 2017’s much anticipated solar eclipse was visible from coast to coast in the United States. The luckiest of viewers were treated to a total eclipse, but it was a sight to behold even where only a partial eclipse could be seen. Of course, during and after the event, social media blew up with thousands upon thousands of photos—some more amazing than others:
Kirsten Jorgensen captured this once in a lifetime shot of a jet passing over the crescent sun in Lewiston, ID, with a Nikon D5200 and a 55–300mm lens. She stacked four different filters: two UV filters and two pink tinted filters.
What an incredible shot!
