PictureCorrect.com: Interesting Photo of the Day: Sunset at the Kofa Mountains

Enduring the elements is part of being a landscape photographer. In order to traverse the trails and roads that lead you to your best photographs, you need to be adequately prepared and keep an eye out for more than that perfect shot. In this case, the desert setting of western Arizona can drain your energy and stamina while you’re travelling hours to reach a landmark. It’s all worth it if you do it right and capture an image such as this one:

Photographer Victor Carreiro captured this stunning image of the Kofa Mountains in western Arizona. He used a Nikon D750 with a Tamron 15-30mm lens at 15mm focal length. He captured the scene with a one second exposure at ISO 400 and f/16. In order to reach this point and set up for the shot, he had to hike through intense heat and desert terrain. The view looks incredible!

If you ever visit the hot area of Arizona for exploring and photography, be sure that you’re well packed and prepared for the weather. With research and experience, you will learn what’s best to pack and how to condition yourself for anything that nature throws your way. Great shot, Victor!
